Sure, let's meet Dave Lester

I love rdio, Foursquare, Capital Bikeshare, coffee, and indie rock.

I'm a graduate student at the UC Berkeley School of Information, while working as Creative Lead at the Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities (MITH). Prior to moving to Berkeley, I was the Assistant Director at MITH, directing the design and development of digital projects and open source software for libraries, museums, and archives.

This semester I'm taking two courses on data mining, along with a class on distributed computing. You can follow my progress on GitHub.

I have an interest in web services and sharing humanities data, and last spring I directed an API Workshop, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities' Office of Digital Humanities.

Prior to joining MITH, I was a developer at the Center for History and New Media. Omeka (web-publishing for digital archives) and ScholarPress (a WordPress-driven Course Management System) are two projects that I contributed to. I also co-founded THATCamp: The Humanities and Technology Camp and WordCampEd.

The best want to get in contact is either by Twitter or email.
